"17 de Março" is the first single announcing the next album of the French saxophonist Benoît Crauste, which will be released in 2023.

Composed by Hermeto Pascoal and extracted from Calendário do Som, the song "17 de Março" was arranged by Itiberê Zwarg and produced between France and Brazil in 2022. Benoît Crauste performs the first recorded version of this composition which, as its name indicates, was composed the day of his birthday.

A fleeting and twirling epic, "17 de Março" is a miniature in 5 beats based on a repetitive rhythmic motif and a constantly evolving harmony.
